Pauline Long, PharmD
CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD
Dr. Pauline Long is a native of Bessemer, Alabama and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Montevallo. After a brief career serving as an Operations Supervisor in the telecommunications industry, Dr. Long answered the call into healthcare. In 2005, Dr. Long graduated from Samford University’s McWhorter School of Pharmacy and earned her Doctor of Pharmacy with honors. She was inducted into Rho Chi Honor Society, Phi Lambda Sigma Pharmacy Leadership Society, and received the Dean’s Award which recognized top students in the graduating class.
After graduation, Dr. Long was promoted to Pharmacy Manager of a large retail chain where she has served the communities of north and central Alabama for over 14 years. Dr. Long is a licensed Consultant Pharmacist, serves as Affiliate Clinical Instructor of Pharmacy Practice for Samford University and is a member of the Alabama Pharmacy Association and the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists.
In 2018, Dr. Long again answered the call to elevate her role in the pharmacy profession and provide another avenue to serve patients. She co-founded MedsPLUS Consulting, LLC - a healthcare consulting firm that provides personalized, comprehensive health and wellness services to patients, caregivers, and providers. Their mission is to bridge the gap in healthcare by empowering patients through education and health management.
Dr. Long resides in Helena, Alabama with her husband Anthony and two children Peyton (11) and Seth (1). She is a member of The Worship Center Christian Church and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

Ijeoma Muforo, PharmD

Dr. Ijeoma Muforo graduated in 2004 from Florida A&M University College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Tallahassee Florida, with a Degree in Doctor of Pharmacy. She went on to do a general pharmacy practice residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, FL. She continued her clinical pharmacist career at St. Joseph’s Hospital, where she specialized in Pediatrics and Women’s Health. In 2010, she received the Pharmacist of the Year award at that institution. She transferred to St. Joseph’s Hospital-South when it opened as a brand new community hospital that serviced south Hillsborough County in the Tampa Bay Area. She has served as student preceptor and student advisor for many pharmacy institutions including her alma mater, Florida A&M University. She is active in various national and international organizations.
Dr. Muforo has a genuine interest in the progression of the pharmacy profession.

She also serves as Vice President for Nigerian Pharmacists Association of Tampa Bay and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Dr. Muforo is very involved in her community and has a genuine interest in healthcare. She is married and enjoys international travelling and road trips.

Jane Fadesere, PharmD, MBA, MPH

Dr. Jane Fadesere obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Howard University located in Washington DC, and is currently practicing as a community pharmacist with CVS Pharmacy. Over the past 15 years, her pharmacy practice has spanned in Maryland, West Virginia, Louisiana, and Texas. She has practiced in various pharmacy settings such as medical supplies, pain management, independent pharmacy and chain pharmacy.
In addition to her responsibilities as a Board Member of Minority Women Pharmacists Association, Jane is active with her local chapter in Houston Texas, where she organizes chapter meetings and community events.
Under her leadership the Houston Chapter has participated in Tour de Cure, Bel Inizio Giving Thanks walk/run, and Chat for Change. The chapter has raised over $7000 to support the mission of the American Diabetes Association.
Notable is her involvement as an Advancement Team Member, Central South Texas with the American Diabetes Association, where she mobilizes volunteer pharmacists, served as a planning committee member for Tour de Cure 2018, and Team Leader (Tour de Cure) for Minority Women Pharmacists, Houston Chapter. She was interviewed and featured in the November 2018 Diabetes Forecast article, “Keys to being an Informed Patient”. Jane has also served as volunteer pharmacist at the San Jose Clinic, Houston Texas and during Hurricane Harvey,2017. She is a member of Phi Lambda Sigma, American Public Health Association and Texas Pharmacy Association.
Dr. Fadesere lives in Houston, Texas with her husband and two children. When not working she loves to cook, run, paint and spend time with family and friends.

Porscha Showers, PharmD
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Dr. Porscha Showers received her PharmD in 2014 from the Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans, Louisiana. During her collegiate career, she was immensely involved in various sectors of research and was able to publish one of her research projects.
Dr. Showers started her career as an Oncology Clinical Trials Pharmacist and Clinical Pharmacist at various hospitals in Arizona and Nevada all while working PRN as Staff Pharmacist at Walgreens. After leaving hospital, she decided to pursue a different career path in pharmacy. For two and half years, she was at Aetna Medicaid where she served in numerous roles such as Prior Authorization Pharmacist, Prior Authorization Manager, Pharmacy Program Manager, Formulary Manager of 4 health plans and lastly Assistant Pharmacy Director for Arizona Medicare. Dr. Showers served as a preceptor for the residency program and also earned her Clinical Educators Certificate from Midwestern University.
In Dr. Showers’ current role as the Central Region’s Evidence and Outcomes Liaison at Eli Lilly. Her main therapeutic areas of focus include Diabetes, Immunology and Neuroscience where she serves population-health decision makers in the regional payer and integrated system space by providing a better understanding of the value of Lilly’s medicines through real world evidence.
Dr. Showers is licensed pharmacist in 5 states. In addition to this, she is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., DFW Graduate Chapter of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, Inc. and DFW Xavier University of Louisiana Alumni Chapter.
In her spare time, she loves solo travelling to various countries around the world, exercising and is a Texas licensed REALTOR for JL Marsaw & Co Realtors based in the Dallas Fort Worth Area.

Regine L. White (Caruthers), PharmD
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Dr. Regine White was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and originally moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan to attend the University of Michigan on a track and field scholarship. Dr. White graduated from the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy and completed two years of residency at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford (PGY1 Pharmacy Practice with emphasis in pediatrics) and University of Michigan Health System (PGY2 Pediatric Specialty).
Dr. White practiced as a clinical pharmacy specialist for 11 years in pediatric cardiology at the University of Michigan, C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital and cared for critically ill patients in the pediatric cardiothoracic intensive care unit, step-down unit, and general care floor. She currently builds pediatric clinical drug information as a Senior Content Management Consultant for Wolters Kluwer: Lexicomp.
Dr. White regularly exercises at Orange Theory Fitness and enjoys eating all types of cuisines including Mexican and Chinese, but Korean is her new found favorite. Dr. White is excited to join the MWPA team to enhance our ‘pharmasister’ community through individual and global mentorship and development.
